Our Team

Holly Nowak, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP
Holly Nowak, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

Holly launched HMN Resources in July 2015 after 20 years in the human resources field and more than a decade leading human resource service delivery and client relations strategy in the WNY region, reaching over 3,000 employees in more than 35 states. She has advised hundreds of small business owners, executives and management teams in a range of industries and sectors spanning private, public and nonprofit on HR practices. Her expertise is in designing comprehensive people process and development solutions that speak to each organization’s need.

An alum of Niagara University she holds a BA ’97 in Psychology and MBA ’04 with a concentration in human resource management. Her certifications include the SPHR, SHRM – SCP, FourSight Creative Thinking Profile and DiSC. A member of national (SHRM) and local HR Associations (BNHRA, WNYHRA). Holly is also a founding member of Women on the Rise, member of NAWBO and serves on the boards of the Small Enterprise Alliance of WNY and Kenmore Rotary.

Kim Brostko, PHR

Kim Brostko is a strategic human resource professional with over 10 years of experience specializing in progressive talent management, employee relations, as well as organizational, learning and development concepts. Her HR career began in the learning and development field, designing a sales training program for the Fortune 500 company, Essendant. She expanded her talent development skill set by moving into an HR consultancy role at another Fortune 500 company, Ingram Micro, where she worked with multiple functional areas such as IT, finance, operations and sales. She was quickly promoted through the ranks to become a Senior HR Business Partner. With a desire to grow her knowledge of various industries, Kim embarked on a new challenge at Evans Bank. The tremendous growth the organization experienced during her first year provided Kim the opportunity for more responsibility as the Assistant Vice President of Talent Management and Organizational development.

Kim was born and raised in the Buffalo area where she lives with her husband and two children. She has been a board member of the WNY affiliate of the National Human Resources Association for the past four years and is currently the Board President. Kim earned her BS in Biology from St. Bonaventure University and holds a Professional Human Resources Certification.
